This video clip shows a scene from the TV show Boston Legal, featuring the character Alan Shore (played by James Spader).

In the scene, Alan Shore approaches a woman at a bar, introducing himself as a "complete stranger" who is there to "pick her up." Her male companion becomes confrontational. Instead of fighting himself, the witty and resourceful Shore uses his money to resolve the situation in his own unique way.

He first offers a large, "strapping" man at the bar $300 to punch the companion, with an extra $100 bonus if he knocks him down. The man accepts and successfully punches the companion. When the man's friends get involved, Shore calmly begins handing out money to other patrons, essentially hiring them to escalate the conflict into a full-blown bar brawl.

The clip ends with Shore and the woman he was interested in watching the chaotic fight he single-handedly orchestrated with his wallet.
